About Us
"Women and Society"
Association “Woman and Society” (AWS) – is a non-commercial, non-profit public organization whose mission is aimed to improve women’s status and socio-economic recovery of the society through the provision of various services. AWS was established on February 1995 and registered on April of that year at the Department of Justice of Sughd province, Republic of Tajikistan. On December of 2007 AWS was pre-registered in the Office of Justice of Sughd province under the “Law on public associations”

Mission
"Women and Society"
AWS’s mission is to improve the status of women, social and economic development of the society and contribute to the economic and social health of the society by providing mobilization, training, consultancy and research services in the fields of law, economics, finance and agriculture.
AWS, in order to achieve its organization's mission, pursues five areas of focus
Social mobilization of family members of migrant workers, smallholder farmers and vulnerable families
Promotion of land reform and improvement of legal literacy of land users on land and water legal relations
Establishment of civil society through the provision of training and consulting services in the field of law and economics.
